Job Summary

Mahindra & Mahindra is seeking a dynamic and experienced production leader to join their team as an Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager in the Paint Shop at their Chakan plant. This is a critical hands-on role where you will be responsible for managing a production shift to ensure that vehicles are painted to the highest quality standards, safely and on schedule.

As a shift leader, you will manage the team, materials, and processes to meet daily production targets. Your role will involve quick problem-solving, coordinating with other departments like quality and maintenance, and driving continuous improvement. What Will You Be Responsible For?

  • Production & Quality Management: Ensure your shift meets its daily production and quality targets. You will be responsible for production planning, managing shop inventory, and executing the plan.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain safe working conditions on the production line and ensure the team adheres to all quality and safety standards, including TS, OHSAS, and TPM.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any issues related to production or quality by coordinating effectively with maintenance, stores, and quality departments.
  • Team & Shift Management: Manage your team's schedule, control absenteeism, and provide training and development to your cell members to improve their skills.
  • Cost & Resource Control: Monitor and work towards reducing the consumption of materials like paint, thinner, and other consumables to meet cost-saving targets.
  • New Model Implementation: Manage the implementation of new models and engineering changes on the production line, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.

  • Education: A B.Tech degree is required for this position.
  • Experience: You must have 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
