Job Summary
Godrej Industries (Chemicals Division) is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join their team at the Head Office in Mumbai. This is a key role within the finance department where you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable (AP) process, scrutinizing the general ledger, and supporting the direct and indirect tax teams.
In this position, you will handle the entire lifecycle of vendor invoices, from processing and posting to monitoring and control. You will work extensively with SAP to manage financial data, create reports, and ensure all accounting activities are completed accurately and on time. What Will You Be Responsible For?
- Accounts Payable Management: Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and posting of all vendor invoices, both with and without purchase orders.
- Asset & Expense Accounting: Create asset codes and manage CAPEX orders. You will also maintain control over advances, prepaid expenses, and related automated processes.
- GL Monitoring: Scrutinize and monitor the General Ledger, including GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) and payable accounts, to ensure accuracy and control.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare ledger schedules for expenses and vendors, assist in month-end closing activities, and develop custom reports in SAP for better data analysis.
- Taxation Support: Assist the direct tax team by providing data for income tax assessments and support the indirect tax team with GST reconciliation and credit claim processes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the point of contact for all vendor and internal customer inquiries related to payments and invoices.
